If you ask anyone who is Criterion Games, they will probably not know at all. Although, if they are a big gamer, they will know that the company has made Black, and the Burnout Series. As you know, the burnout series, and Black is mainly based on one thing, damage. You can cause so much damage on those games, it's not even funny. Some more faceMan stuff, I think this is as far as it's going to get, I'm pretty happy with what it does now. Now that I understand somewhat how Impersonator works I've changed my approach to faceMan. Rather than trying to make it a generic facial animation tool, I've decided to make intergrate Impersonator into it and make it an Impersonator pose set creation tool.

I'm going to show it to Don and Dave tomorrow and see what they think about it, I'm really happy with where the tool is, hopefully they will be too. We may decided to release it to the community if other people think it might be useful. The tool is fully rig independent, it doesn't really care about joint naming, hierarchy, placement, etc, so it should be fairly easy to intergrate into an existing pipeline. What it does do is lock the user into is the actual controls and control names, but those can be used to drive any combination of joints. I'm pretty confident the controls I've included in the tool cover all the bases.

Oh hell yeah

I have seen the future and it is bright. . .mainly due to the fact that it's lit and shaded per pixel.

Howdy folks. I've created a generic unrealtourney community to discuss all things related to any version of UT. Since the moderator of ut2k3 is me, I'm sure he isn't going to mind the fact that I'm attempting to deprecate that community with this one. :) I hope to see all the Live Journal UT fans over there.

Incidentally, could the new onslaught mode in UT2k4 be any more fun!? I highly recommend ya'll download the demo if you haven't already. I wasn't as hot on UT2k3 as I was on the original Unreal Tournament, but I have to say I am damned impressed with Epic/DE's latest offering.

The demo will not have insta gib.

It was also expected the game to be backwards compatable with UT2003. It will not. Too many problems with the coding.

Check this link out for the cheapest price so far on UT2004 Special DVD Edition.

Pre order here:

The DVD edition will be sporting 2 DVD's, special Logitech headset (which supports the new battle talk mode or something), Sticker (Woot!) and 150 hours of tutorials! This is the EB promo and is expected to not be up for much longer.

The regular edition has 8 CD's!! Thats a butt load of disks.

If anyone plays UT2003 come on by the sHk servers. We have 8 servers with different modes of play to make your day. The servers run very close to UT99 speeds for Low gravity, Giant Map Clan style maps and insta gib shok rifle. We also have a New Weapons mod server which is almost 90% full all the time. Map vote, CTF, Deathmatch, 1v1, TDM all available.

Our forum and clan site located at http://www.shokazulu.com lot's of information and fun. We are a west coast GMC affiliated insta gib clan.

We will have a demo play server for UT2004 up ASAP. So get the Demo when available and come on by for some intense UT play!

I don't know if this is the right place to go for this question or not. On my PC, when I open the ut2mod files, it tries to launch ut2k3 and, of course, errors out. Anyone have a solution, like the exact exe the ut2mods should be associated with? If this is the wrong place, could someone point me in the right direction. Thanks.

If you want to practice of basic techniques: aiming and moving, dodging, and familiarity with weapons, try the "Gael" deathmatch level set with 16 players. Use arena mode to practice using and defending against a specific weapon.

Just for kicks, though, I like to play Redeemer arena with 16 players in Gael. The lights are so pretty.

Today, being Thanksgiving, I've been playing Instagib. Just seems appropriate.

Have you guys seen the UT2k4 vehicles trailer? OMFG! I made the mistake of watching it at work, and I had to change my underwear when I get home...

I absolutely can't wait to play this game! I think I need to pull a Francis and make a time machine so I can play this now...
